East of Santa Fe along the historic corridor toward the Pecos Wilderness, Glorieta, Pecos and Rowe form a collection of small communities surrounded by mountains, forests, rivers and open land. Just east of Pecos, Rowe is a small historic community with deep agricultural and Hispanic roots. Its traditional village landscape includes historic adobe homes, acequias and agricultural land. The surrounding area is characterized by open meadows, mountain views and wooded hillsides, giving Rowe a particularly peaceful and rural character.

Across Glorieta, Pecos and Rowe, the landscape is central to everyday life. The area transitions from piñon-juniper foothills to ponderosa forests and high mountain terrain, providing easy access to hiking, horseback riding and fishing.
